AWGP Gurudev Literrature: According to Indian culture, scriptures, Puranas, and the Bhagavad Gita, our soul never dies; it always endures. This means that human existence continues not only for thousands of years but for eons, regardless of whether our physical body exists or not. The soul is not the body itself but rather its essence, connected to it through willpower and life force, much like rays emanating from the sun. Just as numerous rays extend from the sun and each possesses its own distinct existence, the same principle applies to the soul.
" "Likewise, the animal world that we observe is a part of God. Then, every soul is born as numerous souls, just as one rupee can be divided into a hundred paise. Even though each soul is one hundredth of a penny, its existence and power remain boundless. It's akin to a drop of water, which has no independent existence.
However, when it flows with the river, merges into the sea, transforms into steam, and eventually becomes a cloud, its significance is magnified.""This is how our soul undergoes transformation. According to scientists who have returned from near-death experiences, consciousness perceives itself as an independent entity upon leaving its physical body. It then passes through a dark tunnel and enters a world of light, where it experiences happiness, peace, and contentment. However, for some unknown reason, it eventually feels compelled to re-enter a physical body."
"When the soul departs from the body at the time of death, how does this process occur?
According to the research of scientists, the life force is distributed throughout the body. To illustrate, consider the transportation of an object from one location to another: it is initially gathered in one place and then sent to another. Similarly, in the case of the soul, the prana departs from one body and moves elsewhere. At the time of death, the prana is drawn from all the nadis and gathers at a single point. However, due to habitual patterns, it often returns to the nadis. Man experiences pain due to the shock caused by the coming and going of this prana, much like how a doctor renders a person or an organ unconscious before performing an operation. Similarly, God, in His great mercy, when the time of death approaches, induces unconsciousness in the body. He does not cause harm to any soul, but misusing life can lead to mental suffering for the soul. This is why Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji suggests that we should not forget who we are. We should remain alert and constantly contemplate our existence and purpose. Remember that we are indestructible, pure, and blissful souls. The world is a drama; it is not our possession but our responsibility. Only two kinds of people can describe the experiences between birth and death: those who briefly die and then return to the same body, and those who communicate from the spirit realm. Positive souls offer assistance and cooperation, while negative souls manifest as non-cooperation. According to individuals who have returned to life after scientific investigation, death is a pleasant experience. It is our ignorance of death that leads to sorrow. Therefore, let us not distress ourselves or others."
"Does attachment to the living state persist even after death?
The soul is eternal, much like the text typed on paper that never gets erased. Similarly, the soul undergoes reincarnation, carrying with it the rituals and memories from previous births.
Excessive attachment, whether in the living state or in past lives, always leads to sorrow. There is a story about Birbal who cherished one of his bouquets dearly. When he fell and broke his leg while cleaning with a servant, Akbar initially sentenced him to death. However, upon Birbal's insistence, he was forgiven. Similarly, when we are alive and do not obtain a desired relationship or possession, it can bring sadness. It's as if, after death, the soul remains attached to those things, whether it be a house, money, gold, diamonds, jewels, vehicles, or even Egyptian pyramids. All these narratives illustrate the concept of life after death.
In the past, it was believed that money was buried deep in the earth, and a person who had a strong attachment to that money was said to transform into a snake, guarding it even after death. This suggests that the transformation from a human being into a snake was acceptable, but giving up attachment was not.
The subtle body is divided into seven parts: Solid, Liquid, Gaseous, Etheric, Super Etheric, Subatomic, and Atomic. Divine souls are recognized in three forms: Kamdev, Roopdev, and Arupdev. This shadow form can manifest not only from a deceased person but also from any living individual, object, or place. Sometimes, this soul even becomes capable of performing tasks by entering a body. This illusion suggests that the soul is capable of accomplishing anything.
